The RM is happy to announce that the Community Garage Sale is back with over 140 locations! Mark your calendars for May 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2024. To promote vendors during the Community Garage Sale, the RM creates a map showcasing the location of participating residences.

Garage sale locations and maps will be available at the RM office or online and for pickup from select businesses starting May 2nd.

PARKING & TRAFFIC CONSIDERATIONS FOR THE WEEKEND

Please be courteous to all residents in the RM of Edenwold and the Town of White City and ensure you are not driving or parking on grass and/or blocking driveway access.

Community Safety Officers from both Municipalities will be out on patrol during the weekend to help advise and keep things moving.

Specific considerations in White City for the event:

  • Unless otherwise noted below, please only park on one side of the street to keep roadways open for emergency vehicles – in most areas in White City please park on the same side as EVEN HOUSE NUMBERS
  • LOTT ROAD EAST: Please park on the NORTH SIDE of Lott Road East (along ODD HOUSE NUMBERS) – please do not drive or park on the concrete pedestrian pathway.
  • MOTHERWELL DRIVE: Please park on the EAST AND SOUTH SIDE of Motherwell Drive (along EVEN HOUSE NUMBERS) – please do not drive or park on the concrete pedestrian pathway.
  • FAIRWAY CRESCENT: This area will be a one-way road for the weekend. When entering Fairway Crescent, STAY RIGHT and park on the same side as EVEN HOUSE NUMBERS around the entire crescent – please do not drive in the opposite flow of traffic.
  • EMERALD CREEK DRIVE & ROAD: This area will be a one-way road for the weekend. When entering the Emerald Creek area, STAY RIGHT and park on the same side as EVEN HOUSE NUMBERS around the entire crescent – please do not drive in the opposite flow of traffic.

What if I have lots of stuff left over?

Following last year's success, the RM is partnering with Community Living to stop at participating homes to collect unsold items and donate them to those in need. Pickups would take place on May 6, 7 & 8th. To ensure a seamless pickup, please pack soft items (such as clothing) in garbage bags and other items into small boxes.

Unfortunately, large items, such as furniture and appliances, are not accepted. Other items not accepted by Community Living include - electronics, coat hangers, books, magazines, newspapers, and no safety-rated items (example: baby seats, bike helmets).

If you have books to donate, consider dropping off at the little library on South Plains Road/Emerald Park Road or the one in Kuzmicz Park.

What are the event hours?

While each homeowner can set their own garage sale opening and closing hours, we recommend that vendors stay open during the following hours:

Friday 9am to 5pm
Saturday 9am to 5pm
Sunday 9am to 1pm

If you have any questions about the Community Garage Sale, please contact the RM at (306) 771-2522 or by email at info@edenwold-sk.ca.

We're happy to have you all the way from Manitoba! While we do not provide a list of actual street addresses, the Garage Sale map roughly outlines where in the community garage sales are taking place. You can download a garage sale map online at the RM's website, on this project page in the 'Documents' widget, and for pickup at select businesses in the area after April 28th, 2023.

Lori asked about 1 year ago

If you would like to unregister before April 26th, please contact Alexa at alexa.ohanley@edenwold-sk.ca

After April 26th, we will be printing maps with all registered addresses (and you will not be able to unregister). If you cannot participate but are on the map, we recommend closing your garage and turning off your lights. This will let shoppers know that your garage sale is not open.

There is no cost - all you have to do is fill out the vendor registration to be included in the Community Garage Sale Map. This map will be available on this project page, on the RM website, and for pickup at select businesses in the area.
