OCP and Zoning Bylaw Survey

Now that the Official Community Plan (OCP) and Zoning Bylaw have been in place for 5 years, it's time to check in. This is your chance to help us evaluate what's working and identify areas that need improvement. 

By taking this quick 10-minute survey, you'll help shape the scope of the review and set priorities for the future.

The following community priorities were identified during the public consultation that was completed before the Official Community Plan was drafted. Rate how important each community priority is to you (1 being the least important and 5 being the most important). 

Ensure compatible land uses across the municipality.
Protect and maintain the character of residential subdivisions in Emerald Park and country residential developments.
Encourage and support the development of local recreation and leisure amenities.
Ensure new infrastructure and services are developed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Protect prime agricultural lands.
Address drainage issues.
Accommodate resource development while addressing potential related nuisances.
Improve signage for roadways and business districts.
Support the development of a variety of housing forms in appropriate locations to meet the needs of the local work force and the growing population.
Broaden transportation options in high-density areas.
Continue to work collaboratively with neighbouring municipalities, local First Nations and other external authorities and improve working relationships with White City Council.
